At the request of a customer’s physician, the PT evaluates the customer and writes an individual exercise and maintenance plan to be implemented by a certified restorative aide. Activities might include passive range of motion, parallel bars, stationary bicycle, treadmill or stretching, to name a few. These maintenance level activities can also be practiced at home. Customers are also encouraged to participate as fully as they desire in community outings and walks.
The CPRF campus includes a beautiful patio and garden area landscaped by the Sedgwick County Master Gardeners and Adult Day Services customers. There are trees of all shapes and sizes, bushes, flowers, vines and vegetables. Customers enjoy participating in gardening activities as well as spending time relaxing and watching birds, bugs and butterflies wander throughout the garden.
